Djanet (Desert Tour)

This tour centers on the various desert areas surrounding Djanet which often get overlooked by the travel to Tadrart Rouge in the Tassili n’Ajjer National Park.

On this Djanet Desert Tour, we will visit Inalokopour, where we will see some of Djanet’s best prehistoric rock paintings and Tighargharte to experience the famous “Weeping Cow” (La Vache qui Pleure) ancient rock carving.

We will travel to the beautiful oasis of Essendilene to revel in its natural beauty and meet nomadic families there.

We will visit the National Park of Tiharamiwen and Tikoubaouine – two of the most memorable places in the Djanet Desert – well known for their incredible natural rock formations and arches.
